Purpose and Goals of the Youth Ministry

 

     Purpose Statement:

This ministry exists to introduce the youth of this church and the surrounding community to Christ and to create an environment of Christian community that is conducive to the maturing of their faith.

    Strategy:

We will do this by building on their biblical beliefs, which will in turn affect their godly values, which will in turn drive their behaviors.

     Goals:

When the youth graduate from this ministry they should be able to:

    •  Know how to find Christ and lead others to Him

    •  Know how to have a relationship with Christ and maintain it

    •  Know why they believe what they believe

    •  Know the meaning of being a disciple and be able to live as one

    •  Know and experience God's love for them

    •  Know how to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength

    •  Know how to love others and treat others with God's love

    •  Know and understand the major principles in God's word

    •  Know where to find stories and ideas in Scripture
